In order to promote child sponsoring and welfare projects, Baby nel Cuore periodically organises special events and media campaigns to raise public awareness of its activities and aims.
Over the years, initiatives have included the sale to the public of Used Haute Couture clothes, each time to finance a different project, Christmas awareness campaigns to promote child sponsoring and media campaigns to provide coverage of specific activities and initiatives.
Since 1999, our Association has started The Baby nel Cuore Award for Merit – given to acknowledge well-known and less well-known figures who have distinguished themselves for their commitment to helping the disadvantaged.

In February 1995, in collaboration with the Bologna City Council and under the aegis of the European Parliament and the Italian Ministry for the Family, we organised a photographic exhibition on children living in war-torn areas as portrayed by famous war photographers. The exhibition was entitled:

WAR CHILDREN – One hundred years of photographs

In October of the same year, in collaboration with the Bologna University and the Bologna Centro San Domenico, our Association organised a conference by Dominique Lapierre, author of the book "The City of Joy" in which he tells of his life among the children of Calcutta. After the presentation, the author was interviewed by the journalist, Giorgio Torelli.
