Baby nel Cuore award
"Each time a man defends an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others, or fights injustice, he generates a minute wave of hope. These waves from different centres of energy and courage come together to form a torrent capable of washing away even the most powerful wall of oppression and resistance" Robert Kennedy

In 1999, Baby nel Cuore instituted the Baby nel Cuore Award to acknowledge the example set by the commitment of an outstanding figure in his/her support of the less fortunate thereby raising awareness of the need to extend solidarity to those in need and encouraging others to try and make a difference.People, commitment, facts. All things that give hope and raise awareness among many who, either out of indifference of disenchantment, think that nothing can be done to alleviate pain and suffering.

THE SECOND EDITION
The second edition of the Baby nel Cuore Award is being prepared. Five world famous people will be receiving the award. They again come from very diverse sectors of society: politics, business, entertainment, journalism, etc., yet they again have a common commitment to trying to make a difference and build a better society. A further five awards will be given to five equally important people who, even if not public figures, set an example for everyone. These men and women, both famous or unknown, will tell us what they have done and testify to the fact that we can all make a difference.
