Somalia To Merka, 120 minors have need of aid in order to prevent the closing of the Center Nutrizionale Polifunzionale that accommodates them every day To Merka, the Cefa has restructured an old fatiscente building transforming it in a Nutrizionale Center polifunzionale, that it gives alimentary attendance, scholastic, formative and recreational to 120 children from the 9 to the 16 years, but it risks to close for serious difficulties financial ins Tanzania 100 children are hoping for help to built one nursery school, they attend in the village of Uheni and receive one hot meal a day. CEFA wants to built the nursery school located at Uheni in order to improve the general health of the 100 local children living there. Sponsoring a child will mean that he or she will be able to enjoy the healthy environment of the school and receive at least one hot meal a day. Albania In the Albanian town of Elbasan, 250 children between 6 and 14 years need sponsoring to ensure they receive enough food and get a decent education. Cefa has a Day Education Centre in Elbasan which provides needy children with a basic education, food and heathcare. Angola 120 orphan children and adolescents, aged 6 to 14, need to be taken in at the Huambo residence where they will be fed, looked after and given a basic education. The Don Calabria Mission in the city of Huambo in Angola has set itself the goal of taking in all war orphans of the area in order to provide them with a family environment, an essential point of reference in their young lives and especially, give them back their dignity. Brazil 250 children, aged 7 to 14, need your help to grow up with dignity and receive a decent education. The Don Calabria Mission at Jacundà in the state of Parà in northern Brazil is an outreach centre set up to rescue children from being exploited as child labour, and offer them food, healthcare and schooling. Uruguay 200 children between 3 and 12 years old need one hot meal per day, adequate clothing, school materials, and health care. In Montevideo, the Opera Don Calabria aids and supports families who have no government assistance but need everything in order to survive and to raise their children with dignity. Ecuador 200 children and teenagers between 3 and 17 years old need shelter, health care, food, and schooling. In Ecuador's capital city, Quito, sister Maria Augusta Arellano heads the CENIT reception centre, which provides permanent hospitality and schooling to approximately 500 children, without any economic support from government institutions. Argentina In Buenos Aires, 400 children and teenagers between 3 and 14 years old need one hot meal a day, health care, and school materials. The “Obra Padre Mario Pantaleo”, named after its Italian founder who died ten years ago, is a large facility engaged in education, vocational training, and support for poor families, with particular attention to a group of minors who use the service as a base. Mexico 90 children, between 5 and 17 years, need to be taken away from the street and to have a hot meal. This project aims at providing the nutritional necessaries of life and taking care of children and adolescents, taking them away from the street. Tanzania 150 children are hoping for help to prevent closure of the three nursery schools they attend in the village of Ikondo and receive one hot meal a day. CEFA wants to consolidate the three nursery schools located at Ikondo in order to improve the general health of the 150 local children living there. AVSI provides help to 2 primary schools in Amman, one that has been run for more than 50 years by the Dorothean order of Italian nuns headed by Sister Gabriella Pavan, while the other is a parish school dating back to 1890 and today run by Father Anton. All donations go to supporting the children. Argentina 300 children and teenagers need one square meal a day, health care and school books. "Nuestra Senora de la Paz", located in the outskirts of Buenos Aires. The day centre is located near the Parroquia Nuestra Senora de la Paz: run by Father Ruben Pagura and Mr Juan Manuel Speranza, it provides recreational and educational activities along with health care and meals.
